TodayCorp's Gerard Manion Wins AHRI Leadership Award
Todaycorp's Gerard Manion, Director, Business Strategy has been
selected as the NSW finalist in the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) awards in the HR Leadership category.
The HR Leadership award acknowledges an outstanding, proactive and measurable external provision of HR services, and or tools that have assisted in the achievement of the HR objectives for the business.
Gerard Manion and TodayCorp, were announced as the state winner of the award in recognition of achievement over the past five years with client Rebel Sport. Judges included senior executives from Ernst & Young, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, BUPA Australia Health and SalesForce.
Judges praised TodayCorp's Rebel Uni for becoming an integral part of Rebel Sport's training strategy.
"Rebel Uni, the eLearning facility introduced by TodayCorp, has rapidly become a fundamental part of the Rebel Sport HR Training Strategy. It is cost effective, adaptable and tailored specifically to the Rebel Sport business," said Gary Withyman, National Coordinator of the AHRI Awards for Excellence.
Rebel Sport is the largest retailer of sporting equipment, apparel and footwear in Australia with a national network of 55 stores.
The program, which boasts 100 per cent participation, has also created an improved workforce commitment from employees from recruitment, through induction and specific training modules. It delivers measurable results and meets HR and wider business objectives.
The national winner will be announced at the National Awards Dinner on October 5 in Sydney.
