Changes made easy - new content management functionality for Versity.

TodayCorp announces the introduction of new content management functionality on its proprietary Versity Platform, ensuring that clients can maintain up-to-date learning content modules without the need for understanding HTML coding.

With clients now able to relate e-learning directly to business performance and compliance, it has become essential to continually update learning modules. Having the ability to do this internally means the changes can be made quickly, which also helps to create a culture of continual improvement.

The use of content management systems (CMS) is more common in company website and intranets. In the past, it has been more of a challenge to implement in learning platforms due to the complexities of SCORM compliance and Flash embedded content.

One of the key features of the new CMS functionality in Versity is the view in which the user updates the information. A user can make the changes in a simple "design view" which has a familiar Windows toolbar look. It also incorporates a style guide ensuring the brand consistency clients require.

Access is given in varying levels dependent on a client's structure and permission levels and password access ensures the user is served a user-specific version of the CMS. Changes can be saved and sent to an internal quality assurance manager or senior manager to ultimately publish live information to staff.

TodayCorp has moved clients including McDonald's, Rebel Sport and Pfizer to the system and will offer clients a training and support package to ensure maximum benefit and ease of use.

"The Innovations Team at TodayCorp is constantly looking for ways to improve our product in line with customers needs. With the speed at which some product categories change, like electronics for example, there is a need to continually update learning information, with minimum cost, to ensure empowered frontline sales staff." comments Julie Gornall, GM of Customer Innovations and Product Engineering at TodayCorp. "Another area we are currently investigating is multiple language changes for our global clients."
