Red Rooster

Retail

Red Rooster is a leading Australian-owned quick service restaurant, committed to providing innovative products that are consumer and lifestyle focused. They aim to exceed customer expectations on quality, value, service and hygiene.

Red Rooster originated in 1972 as a family run business operating out of Western Australia. From these humble beginnings, it has now grown to become Australia’s largest roast chicken operator.

In 1992 Red Rooster acquired Queensland based Big Rooster chain. These stores were then re-branded as Red Rooster with some of the stores becoming Red Roosters first franchises. Today they have over 360 stores and employ over 5000 staff.


For the past 1½ years Red Rooster has been sourcing their accredited training through Workstar. They currently have 56 trainees nationwide training in Certificate IV Business (Frontline Management), Certificate II and III in Retail Operations (nested) and Certificate III in Retail Supervision.

Red Rooster finds that Workstar’s training compliments their company induction and provides managers with additional skills to support their staff and grow their business. The 1-2-1 Training Sessions and personalised attention assists the trainees and management with ensuring continual enthusiasm.
