Oil Search Limited (OSL) was incorporated in Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 1929 and is the parent company of the Oil Search Group. The company’s principal activity is the exploration and development of oil and gas. The company employs approximately 800 staff and nearly 2,000 contractors located in PNG, Australia, Yemen and the United Arab Emirates.
OSL believes staying competitive is the key to sustainability. Training staff, keeping them motivated and up to date with industry trends and new technologies is essential to achieving their overall business goal. It also benefits their staff, allowing them to learn new skills and become a valued asset to their organisation.
Since June 2006, Workstar has been delivering Certificate IV in Training and
Assessment. This partnership assists OSL to utilise the Australian National Standards as a benchmark of performance within their company.
